Well, the fact that I have not updated for some time must mean that all is going well? In fact yes both cars are behaving very well.
I went to an all marques classic car meet in Nantes last Sunday with Tank 240.
An excellent turn out it was too. Only one other Volvo there which was a friend from the French forum.
One thing that was apparent on seeing other red cars there. Tank 240 's red has faded! After a wash it looks good..... from a distance! Close up there is a 'haze' giving a pink-ish hue. Very common with red cars.
Some photo's were put up on one of the forums I use and I have been 'ribbed' about Tank losing 'his' shine!
I am now addressing this! Quite a lot of work is involved, so I am working 1 panel at a time.
So far I have done the front wings and bonnet . Should have started with the roof, but it is huge, so I put it off lol.
The method I am using is - Wash, rinse, dry, clay, polish and finish with a wax. So far the red is coming back to a good deep shine.
